The Collection and Transport unit is part of the Collection, Markets and Ports (IMH) department. This logistics department ensures the separate collection of waste and raw materials from private individuals and companies within the city limits. The main activities are emptying the municipal underground containers, collecting mini containers and traditional bags (door to door), collecting bulky waste and commercial waste.
Innovation in the separate collection and circular processing of waste is high on the agenda. This is important work because it allows waste to be given a new life as a raw material. The separately collected waste and raw material flows are then transported further to various processors.
The Planning & Administration department also falls under Collection and Transport. In addition to developing the executive activities, expanding the (strategic) management and personal development across the entire breadth of the department is an important pillar.
