The early fire detection systems of the PYROsmart® and PYROspy® series are now certified according to FM Approval FM3260.

This makes the infrared thermography-based systems from ORGLMEISTER Infrarot-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG the first with high-resolution infrared cameras to receive this international certification. The infrared thermography specialist was already a pioneer in VdS certification; in 2019, Orglmeister’s first systems received VdS approval.

The new certification will make it easier to use fire protection systems in markets where VdS recognition is not so important. This is particularly the case in the US market, but FM Approval is also often required in other markets worldwide. Even in the Netherlands, the importance of FM Approval is increasing in various sectors. Orglmeister works with several partners for extinguishing systems that also have FM Approval certification. This allows installers to realise complete systems according to this international standard.
